Drone Spraying in Agriculture

Precision spraying by our own intelligent drones (UAV/UAS) — less chemical on the field, less time in it, and a camera that can see a problem before it spreads.

25% pesticide reduction — presented as-is. This is NexXora's own operating figure, not a government or ICAR statistic.

Yield — farmers using drone-based precision spraying report yield gains of around 10–20%. This is a commonly reported range, not a number NexXora has measured on a controlled trial.

Labour — drone spraying cuts spraying labour-hours by 65% compared with manual application. This is a labour-hours figure, not a cost-savings claim; NexXora does not publish spraying prices.

What we spray, and where

Our agriculture drones apply pesticides, fertilizers and micronutrients with high precision, cutting chemical wastage and reducing human exposure to the chemicals being sprayed. The service covers paddy fields, vegetable farms, orchards and tea plantations, and — as the work below shows — wheat, cotton, sugarcane and vineyard crops as well.

How it is run

Each spraying run uses autonomous flight paths with GPS-guided spraying, so coverage is uniform across the field regardless of its shape. Droplet size is controlled at the nozzle to reduce drift, and for crop-health monitoring the same drones capture high-resolution imagery analysed with NDVI (a standard vegetation-health measure) to flag pest-prone zones before they spread.

What this has looked like in practice

Drone Spraying in Agriculture for Paddy Fields in Tamil Nadu

Farmers in Thanjavur struggled with rising labor costs and inconsistent crop spraying. Nexxora deployed high-capacity agri drones with autonomous flight paths and GPS-guided spraying. Farmers noticed a 25% reduction in pesticide consumption , uniform spray coverage, and faster operations — covering 15 acres in the time it previously took to cover 4 acres manually. Crop health improved and farmers reported significant time savings during peak spraying seasons.

Sugarcane Plantation Monitoring

A large sugarcane plantation in Karnataka needed early pest detection to avoid crop loss. Nexxora’s drones captured high-resolution images, analyzed crop health using NDVI, and identified pest-prone zones. Timely intervention helped the plantation reduce disease spread and optimize fertilizer use — in line with the wider pattern of farmers using drone-based precision spraying reporting yield gains of around 10–20%.

Vineyard Precision Agriculture

A grape vineyard in Maharashtra required precise micronutrient spraying. Manual workers caused uneven distribution and leaf burn issues. Nexxora’s drones delivered targeted spraying with controlled droplet size, reducing manpower dependency by 65% and improving grape quality for export.

Wheat Farm Spraying Efficiency

A large wheat farm spread across 120 acres suffered from uneven manual spraying and rising labor shortages. Using Nexxora’s drone spraying service , the farm reduced labor requirements by 40% , achieved even pesticide distribution, and completed spraying in one-third of the usual time. Crop output improved due to uniform nutrient uptake.

Cotton Field Full-Coverage Spraying

Cotton farms often struggle with pests like bollworms. Nexxora drones covered large cotton fields 70% faster than traditional methods. This led to reduced pest damage, healthier crops, and significant savings on pesticide usage.

Vegetable Farm Growth Boost

A vegetable farm in Karnataka wanted precise foliar nutrition spraying. Nexxora drones applied micronutrients efficiently, leading to a 22% improvement in crop quality , reduced wastage, and higher market value of produce.
